Recently “Claim-Today
Solicitors” have joined hands with PCA in
working for the welfare of the community. They have provided water
coolers for the center and computers to promote IT facilities for
the public.

Moreover they are also holding surgeries in the
center, to provide free legal advice to the general public in the
matters of immigration and personal injury.
PCA welcomes other organizations with similar objectives to work
together and learn from each other while promoting them.
Pakistani Community Association
Manchester was established in 1986. It is situated on Stockport
road, next to Longsight Library.
Manchester is third largest city
of U.K. having large Asian population, which lives mostly in the
areas of Longsight, Levenshulme, Burnage and Rushlome.
PCA is a registered charity. It has got a constitution of its own,
which was last amended in July 2008. PCA is a Voluntary sector
community organization. Its membership fee is seven pounds per
annum. It has eleven member executive committee, which looks after
the policies and work of the association. The executive committee
members are elected by the members of PCA for the period of three
years.
The objectives of PCA is to promote the activities of the Asian
Community living in Manchester, without discriminating on grounds
of race, religion, political believes, gender or disability. Its
aim is to advance education and provide facilities in the interest
of social welfare and improve the condition of living for the said
community.
The PCA identifies, confronts and addresses the problems of
poverty, inequality, prejudice and lack of opportunity for all
Asians living in Manchester. It supports and promotes initiatives
using community development strategies.
